Early on we wanted to create original video entertainment, but didn't want to start yet another small studio to do that. So instead we thought about new media, and how the video production industry was evolving. The web was getting more open, social, connected, and collaborative so it made sense that video production would support those growing trends also.
So leveraging those key trends we wanted to create a social platform where individuals could connect, collaborate, and create video entertainment together. Planning went on for a few months, and a year later Spidvid's beta was launched.
We are very passionate about seeing what video and film content our community creates using our platform, the success the content attracts, and growing this movement in the years ahead.
