Happy Holidays Video Creators and Talent

December 23rd, 2011

happy chrismukkah

The holidays are all about relaxing, eating deliciously fattening food, and spending time with family and friends. For some of us it’s also about finding some spare time to write new scripts for video projects, shooting video, cutting video, and hopefully uploading new content for the world’s viewing audience to watch and ideally share. If you were planning on doing a holiday parody of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” video you are either too late, or against some big time competition below.

I have lots of planned projects for 2012 and I trust that you likely do too! Keep in mind that by posting your video or film projects on Spidvid; you can connect with talent who wants to collaborate and partner with you, build your teams, share credit and compensation, and distribute your content to UnleashVideo and earn thousands of views! This is all easily done from your Spidvid video creator account! Or if  you don’t have a project to post, then you may want to check out the active Spidvid projects.

Happy holidays to you and your family, friends, followers, fans, subscribers, and pets too. The holidays are meant to be relaxing, but keep production projects on your mind because right now has never been a more perfect time to cost effectively create and distribute online video entertainment!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Chrismukkah or whatever holiday you celebrate, from myself and the Spidvid team :)

Show us some love by subscribing to our blog via email.

St.Patrick’s Day Video Projects

March 18th, 2011

St Patrick's Day

St.Patrick’s Day is here yet again, so if you can, enjoy a nice cold, tall pint of green beer and raise your glass to the Irish. On a side note, if you find a four leaf clover be sure to buy a lottery ticket choosing at the very least, the number 17.

In regards to a well produced video project based on St.Patrick’s Day, if you were going to do one it would have likely been started a month or so ago. If you are still working on one and need help with something to successfully complete it, be sure to get a Spidvid profile and post your project on Spidvid to tap into our talented community to assist you in making your content the best it can be.

Below is an adorable St.Patrick’s Day kitten video to watch. Enjoy it, and if you celebrate it be sure to make St.Patrick’s Day 2011 the best ever. Be safe and have fun!

Are You Creating a Thanksgiving Holiday Video?

November 26th, 2010

To all our US community members and blog subscribers; we give you a big time thank you for joining our open video production movement, and wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday full of tasty food and good times spent with friends.

If you happen to get some time between eating turkey and watching football to create a video, don’t forget that you can improve it by teaming up with Spidvid talent. Talent that has the skills you don’t have but need to improve your video on the production and/or entertainment side.

And a quick (and obvious) tip for tomorrow’s Black Friday, shop online in your PJ’s instead of waiting in long lines for hours at stores. And stay away from all Apple stores… you’ve been warned.

What Do You Need to Create Better Entertainment?

September 14th, 2010

My team and I created Spidvid so that video and film entertainment could be created by teams made up of individuals regardless of their location, age, skill level, or experience in the industry. Our vision is to create an open video and film production platform, network, and community. We want individuals from across the planet to join in to help grow Spidvid into the world’s largest video and film creation ecosystem.

Spidvid’s platform and community is moving nicely through public beta, and lots of video creators and filmmakers have already benefited from its use in one way or another. But we want to do more to make every production project as successful as possible.

If you are working on a project right now, or have a future project in the works, we want to help. Whether it’s with funding, connecting you with talent for your team, offering some tips and advice, or promotion and marketing for your web series or short film. Email us, tweet out to us, or post your needs on our Facebook page and let us know how we can offer value to your projects, and content.

Every week we are helping to make video creators and filmmakers dreams come true. There is something very magical about seeing projects successfully getting completed, and then enjoyed and shared by thousands of viewers.

Donate to Missed Connections Live

June 18th, 2010

Many video creators and filmmakers struggle with raising funds to fully produce their video, film, or show. KickStarter is a brilliant one year old platform (it’s still a baby) that allows individuals to raise money for their projects, and offer gifts and rewards to the funders for their contributions.

Melissa Center is a Spidvid member who is seeking to raise $8,000 to create new episodes to compliment the 10 she has already produced on a $0 budget. She also wants to further brand, market, and promote her Missed Connections Live web series. $4,660 has been raised to date with another $3,340 to go with just 64 hours left to raise that amount. You can give as low as $10 to help make the show bigger and better. She has done very well with no money at all, so just imagine what she could do with a few thousand dollars, the possibilities are endless.

I think the show idea is brilliant because I’ve also wondered if the “Missed Connections” section was worthwhile on Craigslist. Each episode examines a unique situation, in some cases for romance, and in some cases for road rage as shown below.

Supporting good people is a core value of Spidvid, so it feels really good to have donated to Melissa’s project so she can make Missed Connections Live episodes well into the future. If you have a couple minutes, and a little money to help make dreams come true, then please donate to this KickStarter project now. Good luck Melissa, Spidvid salutes you.
