Where Are Our Spidvid Geeks?

“Geeks” may be the wrong word to describe our early and passionate Spidvid users, but the point is we need them for our platform adoption. While on the topic what should we call Spidvid users? Spids, Spideeks, Spiders (Spidvid + users = Spiders), or something else? Just like Twitter users are called Twits or Tweeters I have no doubt that in time the Spidvid community will figure out what to call themselves, and we will fully support their decision or decisions.
Back to the actual topic of this post which is establishing a solid adoption community. Just like all of the top social networks and web platforms out there, we also need to attract the right combination of individuals to showcase the potential and impact our site can truly have on the video production industry.
Since we added the mini-signup form to our homepage, many new people from across the world have signed up for our public beta offering. This is an incredible thing to see, but the main point of getting a Spidvid account should be to leverage the platform to produce quality video entertainment with other members either locally, internationally, or a combination of both. This is something we haven’t seen a lot of just yet, but are confident that we will very soon.
So this is an announcement to the film students around the world, to the YouTube creators looking for outside talent for their video projects, and to the established video production individuals pursuing passion projects, Spidvid allows you to easily connect with the human talent your projects need to produce better video content. Of course there is a lot more to our platform than that, but that’s the simple version.
Calling all potential Spidvid geeks, this is your wake up call.
